America’s Rigged Economic Game


America has all sorts of policies that send wealth from the poor to the rich: the lack of competition gives Americans some of the most expensive goods and services anywhere, such as cable, Internet and prescription medicine. As the middle class shrinks, they buy less, threatening American brands, who have to cater to the one percent of Americans who hold most of the wealth in this country.

Robert Reich rounds up a list highlighting some of the most horribly unfair rigged American markets. It’s not just our tax-policy that makes the rich richer and the poor poorer: it’s the corrupt policies that our government supports, which fosters unequality and the widest gap between the rich and the poor ever recorded.
