Midway rides at carnivals and festivals look very different at night, when photographed with longer exposure times. As the rides move, they leave a trail during the exposure that creates interesting patterns. The Ferris wheel especially is striking in its geometric light pattern as it rotates, something you don’t see while watching it. You can only see it through photography.
