Mid-Pinellas Comic Con: A Final Review

featured_image_mpcc

The blog run by Aaron Kyle Nelson has a lot of good pictures of the Mid-Pinellas Comic Con, including a great one of me at my table providing free five-minute drawing lessons. There were a lot of really good exhibitors packed into that room, along with good discussion panels (my How To Create A Graphic Novel being one of them).

It was the first comic con held at St. Petersburg college, and only a few hundred people were expected; instaed over 3,500 people showed up, a phenomenal turn out far exceeding expectations. The mayor of Seminole, Leslie Waters, came by my table to chat with me about the con, and ask questions about the costuming community; this was her first con. She found it fascinating, and wants to bring more events like this to the area.

Check out Aaron Kyle Nelson’s blog post for lots of great pics of this event. There willbe another one held next year for sure (image credit Aaron Kyle Nelson).
